Smiling Alice Of Khayo Jigger Treatment
90% 155K 13 minutes 1 year ago by Rus Patrons - Charity Everyday

Alice is Jennifer's sister. At only twelve, Jennifer has the responsibility of taking care of her three siblings because their mother got married elsewhere and left them with a less caring father, and Alice is one of them. Alice doesn't go to school because she's epileptic. That means the beautiful smile is never seen in school because of conditions back home and a disease which is really controllable. We've met some cases of epilepsy and helped them to improve and live normal lives. We're going to do whatever there is that we can do to help this precious girl with the epilepsy and also with school. These things are not always easy to do. Helping people takes time as it involves other people. But I am sure something good is going to come her way courtesy of RUS. First things first, jiggers must go! This video is intended for educational purposes and to raise awareness of the health problems that jiggers cause in Africa. MEDICAL CONDITION: The condition depicted is known as "Tungiasis". It is an infestation of the skin by a burrowing flea. These fleas tend to infest those who have inadequate living conditions and sanitation. The flea lives both outside around warm-blooded mammals and inside poorly constructed homes. It inhabits dust on floors, cracks in walls and bedding. Shoes protect to some degree but are often not affordable or adequate. Email Jim directly jim@killthejigger.org Call Jim - +254723323186 Donate through PayPal - killthejigger.org/donate.php
